UX/UI Designer
As a UX/UI Designer, you are responsible for creating state-of-the-art interfaces that not only look good but also provide users with the ultimate user experience. At Essense, we work on designing digital services within the context of the entire customer experience. You approach the client's question as broadly as possible, from various perspectives, and keep asking questions until you get to the core. You emphasize the importance of a good understanding of customer/user needs, can help clients clarify these needs, and use them as a guide for your designs. From sketch and flow to wireframe and interface design!
You work both independently and in (scrum) teams on projects, partly at Essense and partly on-site at the client. Therefore, we find it important that you have a strong sense of responsibility and can estimate your own work for a clear planning. You work constructively with other designers from various disciplines (Service Design, Visual Design, etc.) to come up with the best solution for our clients. Your focus is on UX/UI design, but you can also map insights yourself or work out designs in detail. You think from the entire journey and can demonstrate that your solutions actually bring improvement and add value for both the user and the business. You can also work well with development teams to ensure that your designs are implemented correctly.
You are an expert in interaction design, prototyping, and experience flows and also have some skills in journey mapping and creating illustrations. You love diving into a project to surprise the client with your creative solutions. You critically look at interaction design and make improvement suggestions to achieve the best result. You understand the essence of a design system and design principles and can help clients set these up and apply them correctly. For you, quality and the best end result are among the most important elements in your work.
You continuously develop your knowledge and skills and enjoy sharing them with others, both within Essense and beyond. You love diving into a project to surprise the client with your creative solutions. For you, quality and the best end result are among the most important elements in your work.
A completed design education (university / higher education)
At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably at an agency
Experience in UX projects
Able to use a wide range of relevant software / tools
An impressive portfolio with proven experience in UX
A passion for creating beautiful services
Fluent English language skills, and preferably also Dutch language

An above market average salary, indication for this function between € 3000 and € 4500 based on experience and competencies
